Taipei and New Delhi – January 20, 2016 – ALi Corporation, a leading Set-Top Box (STB) chipset solution provider, is showcasing at Convergence 2016 a full lineup of chipsets answering to the rapidly rising demand driven by Phase III/ IV digitization in India. 

Set-top box shipments to SAARC countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) registered a record 73% growth in the third quarter of 2015, mostly driven by rapid digitization in India, according to a Dataxis analysis. In the fourth quarter, 7.34 million STBs were shipped in the SAARC region, with India accounting for about 97% of the total shipments. STBs of all kinds from SD to HDTV and hybrid boxes are witnessing steady and robust growth. 

Already mass-deployed by world-leading pay-TV operators including Indian MSOs, SITI Cable, Kccl and others, ALi’s cardbased and cardless solutions with a proven track record for their high performance and cost effectiveness will be able to respond to India’s urgent STB demand amid Phase III/IV rollout. Furthermore, working with multiple major CAS partners, ALi continues to offer advanced security solutions meeting the evolving requirements for protection of premium content and operator revenue. ALi is the world’s first chipset provider to launch Conax Cardless solutions, accumulating millions of shipments since 2014. In addition, the first ALi third-generation security chip submitted for NAGRA NOCS3 cardless security certification was able to complete the rigorous process ahead of regular schedule, outperforming the lead time generally required to have the very first NOCS3 chip integration and certification. This is complementing the global ALi chipset offerings for pay- TV operators either in cable or satellite fields.

揚智科技今(10)日公告2014年1月份自結合併營收為新臺幣4億4仟2佰萬元，較前月減少9.8%，較去年同期增加24.3%。

揚智科技表示，由於一月底適逢農曆春節假期展開，工作天數減少，致本月營收月減近一成。與去年同期相較，整體月營收增加24.3%，公司重點佈局的Pay-TV運營商市場與IP STB領域均展現強勁成長動能，零售市場亦受惠於新興區域對高清產品需求升溫而有復甦。
 

揚智科技於日前亦宣佈與華為在白俄羅斯與週邊地區合作推廣DVB-T2機上盒解決方案，且T2最新產品與其他DVB解決方案包含S2、Cable、OTT及無頭端閘道器平台(Headless Gateway Platform)等，已於2014莫斯科CSTB展會亮相，瞄準更多新興區域數位訊號轉換的蓬勃商機。

ALi Corporation (3041TT) today held its 2016 second quarter online earnings conference and announced consolidated revenue of NT$797 million, consolidated gross profit of NT$296 million with consolidated gross profit margin of 37%, consolidated operating loss of NT$131 million, net loss of NT$93 million, and basic earnings per share of –  NT$0.31 for the second quarter ended June 30th, 2016. 
 

ALi Corporation stated that second quarter revenue reached NT$797 million, representing a 19% decrease on a quarter-over-quarter basis. However, on a year-over-year basis, the company saw a revenue growth of 21%, thanks to the recovery in retail market and the benefit from new products. Consolidated gross profit margin was 37%, down less than one percentage point compared to the level of previous quarter. Consolidated operating expenses increased by 2% quarter-over-quarter, primarily for higher research and development (R&D) investments, while administration, sales and marketing expenses decreased.
 

Product segments categorized into retail STB, Pay-TV operator STB and others (non-STB) respectively accounted for 65~70%, 25~30% and 5~10% of the total consolidated revenue in the second quarter.
 

ALi Corporation (3041 TT) today announced its unaudited consolidated revenue for July 2016 reached NT$ 254.3 million, as the company saw both month-over-month and year-over-year growth in the Pay-TV operator market. The aggregate revenue from January to July of 2016 was NT$ 2,032.7 million, up over 11% year-over-year.
 

The company plans to showcase a full spectrum of STB chipsets with a focus on hybrid(DVB+IP) solutions at IBC 2016 held from September 9 to 13 in Amsterdam, targeting more diversified demand from global Pay-TV operators.
